Color Throwdown 248-Totally Cool

It’s time for another Color Throwdown! Broni is our hostess this week. She’s chosen a pretty pastel color scheme of Pretty in Pink, Cool Caribbean, Very Vanilla, and Kraft.

I used the colors along with the current Deconstructed Sketch for my sweet treat themed card. The focal image is the ice cream cone from the Paper Smooches Sugar Rush set. I did a little creative stamping to make the cone a double instead of a single! The image is colored with Spectrum Noir markers and attached to a Cool Caribbean panel with dimensional dots.

I layered the panel on a kraft scallop edged circle, then adhered it to a pink patterned paper panel with a sprinkle-like pattern. Perfect for an ice cream themed card, isn’t it? I machine stitched around the edges of the panel, then ran a strip of ivory faux suede ribbon across the cardfront, just beneath the image. I added a matching bow, made with my Bow Easy, at the center of the ribbon strip, then stamped the “totally cool” sentiment from the Good Gab set beneath the image panel. The finished panel is adhered to a kraft card base.

To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine. And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD248. Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team and June's guest designer, Wanda Guess.
