CSS Release Replay: C'mon Over
This week, the Clear and Simple Stamps design team will be doing a "release replay" featuring the new products introduced during last week's Collection 7 release. Each day, we'll share more projects with each of the series in the collection. Today's feature is the Foodie Fun series. I made a card and party favor set using three of the stamp sets--Foodie Fun, Foodie Fun Sentiments, and Party Elements: BBQ.
The card is based on this week's sketch from The Paper Players. I replaced the sketch's two circular elements with the burger and fries images from the Foodie Fun set. The images are colored with Copic markers and cut out, then attached to a kraft panel with foam tape. I used a paper doily with a half circle stamped with CSS's Gingham stamp to create a tablecloth-like panel. The "c'mon over for burgers and fries" sentiment is stamped in black ink directly over the gingham pattern. A little red grosgrain ribbon wrapped around the panel hides the top edge of the doily.
To go with the card, I made a little favor with a pair of food erasers I found in the party section at Target. I put the burger and fries shaped erasers in a clear bag, then dressed up the bag with a topper made from the Toppers die. I stamped the die cut piece with the Gingham stamp in red ink, then added a kraft Favor Flags die cut stamped with the "burgers and fries to go" sentiment. Some of CSS's Simple Adhesive holds the topper in place.
