Happy Bird-Day
Here’s my card for the current sketch at Seize the Birthday. I used both the Little Bitty Bird and Little Bitty Bird Additions stamp sets from Papertrey Ink to put this one together.
My focal image is a scene featuring a die cut yellow felt bird. The bird’s perched on a stamped branch with green Copic colored leaves. The “happy bird-day” sentiment, made by combining sentiments from both stamp sets and hand-drawing a hypen with a fine tipped marker, is stamped underneath the bird and branch. I added a white felt cloud to the opposite side of the panel to balance it out.
The finished scene is layered on a kraft mat, then adhered over a panel with three pieces of dotted patterned paper arranged on it. I kept the pattern the same on all three pieces to keep the focus on the scene. The warm yellow makes for a very cheerful card!
