Wishing You Success and Dreams

Here's my card for this week's CAS-ual Fridays challenge to make a congratulations card.  With high school graduations in full swing here, I thought it was appropriate to make a graduation card.  I used this week's sketch from Clean and Simple Stamping to put this one together in just a few minutes.

I used my own high school's color scheme for the card, but it would be easy to customize this design with almost any school's colors to personalize it for the graduate.  I stamped the congratulatory sentiment from Papertrey Ink's For the Graduate stamp set at the bottom of a white panel in navy blue ink, then layered the panel on a green mat and adhered it to a navy card base.

I found a green dotted tape in my washi tape stash and ran a strip of that across the cardfront, then used foam tape to add a silver star on top.  The star is accented with a few different colored sequins arranged around it.

Materials Used:
For the Graduate stamp set, New Leaf cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Memento Nautical Blue ink (Tsukineko); Not Quite Navy cardstock, large star punch (Stampin' Up!); silver paper (Target); sequins (Michaels); green dotted decorative tape; foam tape
