Who's Turning . . .
This week’s blogger challenge theme is birthdays. I combined the challenge with this week’s sketch challenge from The Paper Players and the current CAS-ual Fridays challenge to incorporate numbers to come up with this simple, sparkly birthday design.
I started out with a fun piece of patterned paper with multicolored dots. I die cut a pierced circle from pink cardstock and adhered that to the patterned paper panel. After stamping the “who’s turning . . .” sentiment from Papertrey Ink’s Big Birthday Wishes stamp set in pink ink on a narrow yellow fishtail flag strip, I adhered the strip to the panel over the pink circle.
Sparkly silver foam stickers forming the numeral 10 are adhered to the pink strip just above the sentiment. I added a pink button, tied with yellow baker’s twine, to the end of the sentiment strip to anchor it. The finished panel is adhered to a pale pink card base.
Materials Used:
Big Birthday Wishes stamp set (Papertrey Ink); Bubblegum ink, Die-namics Pierced Circle and Fishtail Flag Stax dies, Bubblegum button(My Favorite Things); Pink Pirouette and Barely Banana cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); Hip Hooray 6x6 paper pad (Pebbles); Thickers Doll stickers (American Crafts); yellow baker’s twine (The Twinery)
