You Are my Anchor
Here’s my card for the current Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge. My take on the inspiration photo’s nautical theme features the You Anchor Me stamp set from My Favorite Things.
I colored the image with Copic markers and carefully cut it out using a combination of scissors and a craft knife. The image is attached to a pierced edged yellow circle using foam tape. I placed the circle on a piece of navy dotted patterned paper and trimmed the edge of the circle so it was flush with the panel’s edge before adhering the panel to a kraft card base.
To bring in a little more color, I ran strips of yellow striped and gold striped washi tape along the left edge of the panel. They're topped with a pair of gold faux metal stud embellishments. The set’s “you are my anchor” sentiment is stamped on a fishtail flag strip and adhered at the bottom of the patterned paper panel with the end tucked neatly underneath the image.
Materials Used:
a la modes You Anchor Me stamp set, Die-namics Pierced Circle dies (My Favorite Things); white cardstock (Taylored Expressions); Memento Tuxedo Black ink, Versafine Majestic Blue (Tsukineko); markers (Copic); Harvest Gold and Kraft cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Trendsetter 6x6 paper pad (Fancy Pants); faux metal stud embellishments (Michaels); yellow striped and gold striped patterned tapes; foam tape
