Best Teacher Ever
Here’s my card for the current Fusion challenge. I was inspired by both the fun sketch and the chalkboard image in the inspiration photo. The result was this school themed design.
I used the “best teacher ever” sentiment from Verve’s Teachers Count stamp set as my focal image. It’s stamped in white ink and heat embossed on a gray panel. I used a white gel pen and a ruler to draw in a frame around the embossed text, then layered the panel on kraft and green mats before adhering it to the large kraft panel. I die cut and stamped an apple using the Teachers Count stamp set and matching dies. The apple and a green notch-ended strip are attached to the bottom right corner of the text panel. I used foam tape on the back of the apple for some dimension.
The kraft panel is adhered to a piece of apple green patterned paper from an older October Afternoon paper collection (I’m trying to use up some of my older stuff . . .). I matted the panel on green cardstock, then set it on a kraft card base.
Materials Used:
Teachers Count stamp set and Apples dies (Verve Stamps); Jelly Bean Green cardstock (Gina K Designs); Pear Tart, Bamboo Leaves, and Rich Cocoa inks (Tsukineko); white pigment ink (WPlus9); Smokey Shadow and Kraft cardstock (Gina K Designs); Night Light-Henry designer paper (October Afternoon); Fishtail Flag Stax die (My Favorite Things); white gel pen (Ranger); white embossing powder (Michaels); foam tape
