My Sunshine
Here's a quick card for this week's sketch at Freshly Made Sketches. I used some brand new Avery Elle stamps and dies from i {heart} papers to put this one together.
I filled in the three round openings in the light blue panel across the card with a combination of die cut letters and shapes made with the new Word Fill in the Blank and Icon Fill in the Blank dies. I replaced the "o" in "you" with the icon sunshine shape and added a clear crystal to the icon's center for a little sparkle.
The blue panel is matted on a contrasting yellow panel and adhered to a blue diagonal striped panel. The "are my sunshine" sentiment from the coordinating Fill in the Blank stamp set is stamped beneath the trio of circles in navy blue ink. I adhered the finished panel to a cheery yellow card base.
And, speaking of sunshine, I realized I didn't share my big news from the other day with my readers here. I'm thrilled to have been invited to join the Dirty Dozen team at Splitcoaststampers. I'll be sharing special projects in the exclusive Fan Club gallery over the next six months. This one would fit in perfectly with the August gallery theme . . .
Materials Used:
from i {heart} papers: Avery Elle Fill in the Blank stamp set and Word Fill in the Blank and Icon Fill in the Blank dies, Tsukineko Nautical Blue ink, Fancy Pants Memories Captured 6x6 paper pad, KaiserCraft clear gem
other: Bashful Blue cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Harvest Gold and Summer Sunrise cardstock (Papertrey Ink); circle punch (EK Success)
