For the Best Teacher
This week’s blogger challenge theme is back to school. I used this week’s sketch from Freshly Made Sketches along with the new Apple Prints stamp set from Papertrey Ink to put together this school themed design.
I used one of the set’s large apples as my focal image. The large apple die cut is stamped with three different images from the set to get the multicolored image. I used foam tape to adhere the apple over a pair of patterned paper panels and a strip of red grosgrain ribbon. The “for the best teacher” sentiment is stamped underneath the ribbon in red ink. I love the pop of the red against the kraft panel! I finished the design with a trio of copper brads in the upper right corner of the card.
Materials Used:
Apple Prints stamp set, Harvest Gold and Kraft cardstock, Pure Poppy patterned paper, Apple Prints dies (Papertrey Ink); Lemon Drop, Jellybean Green, and Wild Cherry inks (My Favorite Things); Memento Rich Cocoa ink (Tsukineko); Real Red and Whisper White cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); School Daze 6x6 paper pad (Jillibean Soup); red grosgrain ribbon, copper brads (Michaels); foam tape
