It's a Good Day to Have a Good Day
I'm squeezing in yet another few cards for the SCS Dare to Get Dirty challenges before the Monday entry deadline. This one is for my Color Throwdown teammate Tammy's challenge and uses this week's sketch from Freshly Made Sketches.
I used one of the sentiments from the Chalkboard Greetings set from My Favorite Things to create a chalkboard style panel for my focal image. The sentiment is embossed in white on a dark gray panel. I used a white gel pen to draw an outline around the edge of the panel--it's even semi-even and straight, which is a big achievement when you're ruler-challenged like I am!
I attached the chalkboard panel to a piece of floral patterned paper, then added a pair of layered fishtail flag strips made from coordinating colors of solid cardstock. The strips are topped with a baker's twine tied button.
Materials Used:
Chalkboard Greetings stamp set, Steel Grey cardstock, Die-namics Fishtail Flag Stax and Fishtail Flag Layers Stax dies (My Favorite Things); white pigment ink (WPlus9); Rich Razzleberry and Kiwi Kiss cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Happy Go Lucky-Lime Twist Happy Go Lucky "Happy" Blooms designer paper (My Mind's Eye); Recollections white embossing powder, green button (Michaels); white gel pen (Ranger); green baker's twine (Divine Twine)
