Oh Shoot
Here’s my card for this month’s Avery Elle AEI♥U challenge. I translated the jars of arrows in the inspiration photo into this simple single layer design that also serves as my entry for a pair of SCS Dare to Get Dirty challenges.
I used the arrow image from the Oh Happy Day set to stamp several slanted rows of arrows at the bottom of a white card base using gray ink. To add interest, I alternated the direction of the arrows with each row. The set’s “oh shoot” sentiment is stamped within the rows of arrows in the same gray ink.
After I finished stamping, I used Spectrum Noir markers to color in the ends of the arrows, purposely coloring so no two adjacent arrows were colored with the same color. To give the card a little dimension without adding any other layers, I scattered a trio of pale aqua enamel dots around the colored arrows.
Materials Used:
from i {heart} papers: Avery Elle Oh Happy Day stamp set, Crafter’s Companion ultrasmooth white cardstock, Tsukineko Memento Gray Flannel ink, Spectrum Noir markers (CT3, CR4, BT4)
other: The Sweetest Thing-Bluebell enamel dots (My Mind’s Eye)
