Let's Hang Out
Here’s my card for the current sketch from Seize the Sketch. It’s a pretty loose interpretation of the sketch, but I think it still works!
Instead of using a few diagonal lines across the lower right corner of the cardfront, I used a die cut spider web. The web is cut from silver cardstock for a shimmery look. After attaching the web to a piece of dotted patterned paper, I added a die cut spider on top. The spider has clear crystal eyes for a fun bit of not spooky sparkle. The spider hangs from a piece of shimmery twine.
The “let’s hang out” sentiment from the My Favorite Things Spider Web stamp sets is stamped in gray ink around the edge of the web. I used one of the new Memento Luxe inks—love them! This one’s Gray Flannel. The color and coverage are great. I’ll definitely be adding more of these to my collection.
Materials Used:
Spider Web stamp set and die (My Favorite Things); Memento Luxe Gray Flannel ink (Tsukineko); Pumpkin Pie and Basic Black cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); shimmery silver paper (Target); Haunted 6x6 paper pad (My Mind’s Eye); clear crystals (Michaels); silver shimmer twine (Maya Road); foam tape
