Bedtime Bon Voyage

Here's my card for the Bedtime Story sketch from the Waltzingmouse Stamps Pajama Party.  I rotated the sketch around to create this nautical design.

I started off by using a bunch of distress inks and a sticky note mask to make a background on a white cardstock oval. Once I was happy with the look of the water and the sky, I used black ink to stamp one of the ships from the Ocean Bound set on the inked panel.  The "bon voyage" sentiment is stamped above the ship in the same black ink.

The image panel is matted on an orange oval, then layered over an orange dotted panel with a stripe embossed turquoise strip across it.  The turquoise is broken up a bit with a piece of orange grosgrain ribbon.  For the trio of elements clustered along the edge of the image panel, I used a pair of die cut white felt clouds along with a button sun, tied with a bit of orange seam binding.

Materials Used:
Ocean Bound stamp set (Waltzingmouse Stamps); Versafine Onyx Black ink (Tsukineko); Mustard Seed, Scattered Straw, Dried Marigold, Wild Honey, Tumbled Glass, and Salty Ocean distress inks (Ranger); Turquoise Sea cardstock (Gina K Designs); Orange Fizz cardstock (My Favorite Things); Whisper White cardstock (Stampin' Up!); The Basics Stack 6x6 paper pad (DCWV); oval dies (Spellbinders); cloud die (Lil' Inker Designs); Linear embossing folder (Lifestyle Crafts); orange seam binding (Martha Stewart); orange grosgrain ribbon, orange button, white felt (Michaels)
