Hello Deer

Here’s my card for the current 10 Minute Craft Dash challenge. I couldn’t wait to put this sweet deer image from the new Lawn Fawn Into the Woods stamp set to use, so I made it the focal image in my craft dash card.  From start to finish, this cute little card took 8 minutes and 55 seconds.  Not bad!

To save time, I stamped the deer on kraft cardstock and used a blending tool to apply some distress ink over the stamped image for a darker brown color in no time at all. The cut out image is adhered to a debossed turquoise panel using dimensional dots. I stamped the “hello” word bubble in golden yellow ink and cut it out, then used more dots to adhere it above the deer image. I snipped triangles out of scrap strips of yellow and brown cardstock to form the banner strips adhered in the upper left corner of the turquoise panel. A piece of knotted chevron twill ribbon adds a little bit of pattern and texture to the simple design.

Materials Used:
from i {heart} papers: Lawn Fawn Into the Woods stamp set, Tsukineko Memento Cantaloupe and Tuxedo Black inks, Lifestyle Crafts Spotted embossing folder, May Arts blue striped twill, Sticky Thumb dimensional dots

other: Harvest Gold and Kraft cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Chocolate Chip and Whisper White cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); Turquoise Sea cardstock (Gina K Designs)
