To the Moon and Back

Here's my card for this week's sketch at CAS(e) this Sketch.  I ended up rotating the panel to come up with this simple design.

I used a crescent shaped moon as my focal image.  I made it from a section of a yellow circle die cut debossed with a circle pattern for a crater-like look.  It's hard to see in the photo, but the moon is sprayed with some shimmer spray for a sparkly look.  It's attached to the light blue background panel with foam tape.

Once it was in place, I curved a sentiment from the Waltzingmouse Stamps Half Pint Heroes set on my clear block to (somewhat) follow the curve of the moon shape, then stamped the sentiment in navy blue ink.  To go with my nighttime sky theme, I clustered a few clear star-shaped crystals around the image and text, then layered the panel on a contrasting navy card base.

Materials Used:
Half Pint Heroes stamp set (Waltzingmouse Stamps); Memento Nautical Blue ink, Frost Shimmer Spritz (Tsukineko); Crushed Curry, Night of Navy, and Bashful Blue cardstock (Stampin' Up!); circle die (Spellbinders); Polka Dots embossing folder (Lifestyle Crafts); clear star crystals (Michaels); foam tape

  1. Oh, this is fabulous! That sentiment always makes me think of the book I read to my kids when they were little: Guess how much I love you. Love it!
Thanks so much for playing along with CAS(E) this Sketch!
