If the Broom Fits
This week’s blogger challenge theme is backgrounds. I used the polished stone technique to make a spooky night sky background perfect for a card featuring a witch.
The witch is from the new Bats and Broomsticks set from Lil’ Inker Designs. She’s stamped in black ink and heat embossed over the polished stone background I created with several purple inks mixed in with touches of sparkly silver. I used one of Lil’ Inker’s stitched circle dies to create a moon for the upper left hand corner of the card, then scattered a few sequin “stars” around the image. The “if the broom fits” sentiment is stamped on a purple stitched sentiment flag in silver ink.
Materials Used:
Bats and Broomsticks stamp set, Stitched Circle and Stitched Sentiment Flag dies (Lil’ Inker Designs); Versafine Onyx Black ink, Encore Silver reinker (Tsukineko); Elegant Eggplant, So Saffron, and Glossy White cardstock, Almost Amethyst, Lavender Lace, and Lovely Lilac reinkers (Stampin’ Up!); clear embossing powder, sequins (Michaels)
