Little Bitty Bird Best Wishes
Here’s my card for this week’s Muse challenge. I was inspired by the elements arranged near the top of the card and the house theme.
Instead of people houses, I went with a bird house for my card and used images from Papertrey Ink’s Little Bitty Bird and Little Bitty Bird Additions stamp sets. The bird house is made from an image stamped on a piece of balsa wood paper. The image is stamped in Memento’s new Luxe ink—love, love, love how it worked on the wood surface!
The cutout bird house is adhered to the aqua cardfront underneath a stamped branch. The branch wasn’t as long as I wanted, so after I stamped it once, I re-inked the stamp and used the non-leafy end to extend the length of the branch so it reached the edge of the card. I colored in the leaves with a Copic marker, then stamped the “best wishes” sentiment from the Lovely Leaves set beneath the branch in brown ink. A few die cut clouds finish the simple scene.
Materials Used:
Little Bitty Bird, Little Bitty Bird Additions, and Lovely Leaves stamp sets, Aqua Mist cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Memento Rich Cocoa and Memento Luxe Rich Cocoa inks (Tsukineko); marker (Copic); Shimmery White cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); birch veneer paper (Simon Says Stamp); cloud die (Lil’ Inker Designs); foam tape

I just love it Lori, especially the balsa birdhouse! (I really feel like I *need* some of these new Luxe inks - Memento's are my fave and these look awesome, we always have a slightly longer wait for new releases here in Australia)
