Java Great Day

So, I’m a day or two late for National Coffee Day, but I thought I’d share this card anyway. It’s based on the current Fusion challenge. As soon as I saw the fun inspiration image, I knew that the coffee pots in the Clear and Simple Stamps A Little Java set would be perfect for creating a card based on the picture.

I used the colors from the inspiration photo as well as the sketch for my card. The focal image is one of the coffee pots from the A Little Java Set, die cut with the matching die from the Coffee Pots set and stamped in cheery red ink. I used foam tape to adhere the coffee pot to a pair of layered circles.

The round panel is adhered to a green panel that I stamped with the large background stamp from the Coffee Pot set and heat embossed with clear embossing powder. A trio of notch-ended dotted strips extends out from the bottom of the embossed panel. I stamped the “java great day” sentiment underneath the dotted strips, then layered the completed panel on a light green card base.

Materials Used:
A Little Java and Coffee Pot stamp sets, Dare to Be a Diva Red ink, Leek-ed to the Press, My Style Blueprint, Dare to Be a Diva Red, and A Blanc Check cardstock, Shapes: Circles and Coffee Pots dies (Clear and Simple Stamps); Odds and Ends-Remnant designer paper (Cosmo Cricket); sewing machine; foam tape

  2. This turned out so cute. The colors are perfectly retro! I spent the last couple minutes pinning several of the coffee sets from the c&s site:) A girl can never have too many coffee sets!

Thanks for joining us at Fusion!
