Celebrate
This week’s Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge is a Picture Perfect challenge. I was inspired by the photo’s bike and balloon image and by the warm colors.
Instead of an actual bike, my focal image is a scooter from the Spiffy Scooters set. I colored it with Copic markers and used dimensional dots to adhere it to a panel sponged with distress inks in warm shades of yellow and orange. The balloons are from the Hullabaloo set. I stamped the outlines in black ink, then filled them in with Memento Luxe pigment inks. I was thrilled to see that where the Luxe inks overlapped, the colors blended.
I matted the image panel on golden yellow cardstock, then adhered it to an orange card base. The “celebrate” sentiment is stamped on a red fishtail flag panel and adhered to the cardfront so it extends out from underneath the scooter. I accented the sentiment with a trio of orange enamel dots.
If you're celebrating Thanksgiving today, I hope you have a wonderful time with family and friends. My sister and I are going to the movies to see Catching Fire before dinner with our family. If you're planning on doing some online shopping today or over the weekend, don't forget about the big Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale at i {heart} papers now through Monday.
