It's Football Time!
Now that it’s mid-November, football season is in full swing. The Collection 9 release from Clear and Simple Stamps includes a pair of stamp sets perfect for the football player in your life—or for inviting people to a tailgate party if being an interested bystander is more your style!
I used the current Deconstructed Sketch to put together this football themed card using both the new Party Elements: Tailgate and the Tablescapes: Tailgate sets. I started out by making my own patterned paper for the left side of the card with watermark ink, brown cardstock, and the solid football image from the Tablescapes: Tailgate set. After filling the cardstock strip with football images, I adhered it to a piece of red patterned paper. The seam between the two papers is hidden by a strip of cream twill.
I adhered the panel to a red card base, then set a kraft panel stamped with the football themed subway-style text block from the Tablescapes: Tailgate set on top at an angle. For extra emphasis, I stamped the text a second time and cut out just the word “football.” It’s adhered to the panel with some foam tape. To finish the card, I added a brown Favor Flags strip at the bottom of the text panel along with a red circle die cut topped with the same solid football image as I used on the brown paper strip.
Materials Used:
Tablescapes: Tailgate and Party Elements: Tailgate stamp sets, Brown Leather Satchel ink, Brown Leather Satchel, Rouge Ruffles, Kraft Like a Rockstar, and A Blanc Check cardstock, Shapes: Circles and Favor Flags dies (Clear and Simple Stamps); Versamark ink (Tsukineko); Urban Traveler 6x6 paper pad (Simple Stories); cream twill (Michaels); foam tape
