Love Is Brewing
Here’s a warm and cozy design for the current sketch at Freshly Made Sketches. I paired some mugs full of warm, yummy goodness with a rich plaid background to put this one together.
For the trio of square panels, I stamped the mug image from the Clear and Simple Stamps Morning Brew: Coffee set in brown ink, then added the foam image on top. The foam’s colored just a bit with a very pale blue Copic marker to add depth. I also filled in the heart on each mug with the teeny, tiny heart image from the Taglines: Critters set. This little heart seems to find its way onto many of my projects! I cut out each mug and used foam tape to adhere the mugs to contrasting red cardstock squares.
I arranged the squares on a piece of plaid patterned paper. The open space is filled in with a red die cut heart. I stamped the “love is brewing” sentiment in brown ink on a kraft Favor Flags die cut strip and attached it to the card over the die cut heart. It’s anchored with a red button tied with natural twine.
Materials Used:
Morning Brew: Coffee and Taglines: Critters stamp sets, Brown Leather Satchel, Dare to Be a Diva Red, and Perfect Little Black Dress inks, Dare to Be a Diva Red, Kraft Like a Rockstar, and A Blanc Check cardstock, Copic marker (B0000); Shapes: Hearts and Favor Flags dies, Dare to Be a Diva Red button (Clear and Simple Stamps); Happy Go Lucky 6x6 paper pad (Fancy Pants); natural twine (Hemptique); foam tape
