Thankful for You
Here’s my card for this week’s My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club sketch challenge. I stretched the sketch a bit to fit on a standard A2 sized card instead of a square one so I could use the sweet Doodle Garden Happy Harvest set for my card.
I colored the girl with Copic markers and carefully cut her out, then used foam tape to adhere her to a kraft pierced circle die cut. The image is paired with two different patterned papers from a Doodlebug fall paper pad. I arranged the patterned paper panels on a coordinating orange cardstock panel, then adhered the panel to a kraft card base. I picked a simpler dotted pattern for the bottom of the card so that when I added the strip with the “thankful for you” sentiment on top it wouldn’t be competing with a busy background.
Materials Used:
Doodle Garden Happy Harvest stamp set, Orange Fizz cardstock, Die-namics Pierced Circle and Fishtail Flag Stax dies (My Favorite Things); white cardstock (Taylored Expressions); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko); markers (Copic); Desert Storm cardstock (Neenah); Happy Harvest 6x6 paper pad (Doodlebug); foam tape
