New Year Cheers

Here’s my card for the final (at least for now) 10 Minute Craft Dash. With its festive new year's theme, it also serves as an entry for the current CAS-ual Fridays challenge.

New Year Cheers-designed by Lori Tecler-Inking Aloud-stamps from Clear and Simple Stamps
This one was super quick to put together, thanks to the By the Glass set from Clear and Simple Stamps. I simply stamped the two glasses, then “filled” them with the matching solid image using golden yellow ink. The “new year cheers” sentiment is stamped next to the glasses in black ink. I adhered a piece of gold and white striped washi tape just beneath the sentiment, then layered the stamped panel on a gold cardstock mat and a black card base.   I'm generally more of a silver fan, but I have to admit that gold is starting to grow on me lately . . .

The final touch was filling in the bubbles above the glasses with some Stickles—I’ve learned to leave that for last to minimize the opportunities for smearing and smudging . . . From start to finish, it took me 8 minutes and 17 seconds to put this fun design together. Not bad!

Materials Used:
By the Glass, By the Glass Sentiments, Taglines stamp sets, Perfect Little Black Dress and Golden Tiara inks, 24 Karat Gold, A Blanc Check, and Perfect Little Black Dress cardstock (Clear and Simple Stamps); gold striped washi tape (Freckled Fawn); Diamond Stickles (Ranger)
