Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 200-Sending Happy Thoughts

It’s time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge! Today’s a special day since it’s our 200th, yes 200th, sketch! That’s a lot of fabulous sketches and inspiration, isn’t it? In honor of this milestone, Karen will be giving away gift cards to My Favorite Things to a few lucky challenge participants, so be sure to play along with us and link up your creation. 

I used the sketch to create a feminine, floral design.  I used the new More Fresh Cuts stamp set from WPlus9 to make a floral cluster at the bottom of the oval panel. These flowers work beautifully with the companion Fresh Cut Florals set or on their own, too. I didn’t have any specific plan in mind for arranging the flowers when I started. I just die cut a bunch of flowers and leaves using the coordinating dies, then stamped away in coordinating colors of Memento Luxe inks. Once the inks had set, I played around with the arrangement until I found something I liked. The “sending happy thoughts” sentiment from the Strictly Sentiments 2 set is stamped in the open space on the oval panel in dark pink ink.

The stamped and decorated panel is adhered to a pale pink panel over a piece of coordinating green patterned paper. I added a matching green cardstock tab to the top of the panel, dressing it up with a pair of tiny pearls. The finished panel is adhered to a dark pink card base.
