Warm Holiday Wishes

I finally used some of the goodies in my December kit from Simon Says Stamp. The cute mitten pair was the perfect focal image for this simple sketch from Seize the Sketch.

Warm Holiday Wishes-designed by Lori Tecler-Inking Aloud-stamps from Simon Says Stamp
I stamped the mittens in green ink, then cut them out and used foam tape to adhere them to a round panel stamped with the set’s string image. The panel was matted on a red circle, then adhered to a white paper doily. I set the stack on a piece of patterned paper from the kit, then trimmed it so that the edges were flush with the edge of the patterned paper. The set’s “warm holiday wishes” sentiment was stamped in black ink at the bottom of the panel. The red sequins were a last minute add-on. I think they give the simple design a fun bit of sparkle.

Materials Used:
Big Holiday Wishes stamp set (Simon Says Stamp); Memento Luxe Pear Tart and Versafine Onyx Black inks (Tsukineko); Real Red and Whisper White cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); Simply Chartreuse cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Home for the Holidays collection kit (Doodlebug Design); pierced circle die (My Favorite Things); circle die (Spellbinders); red sequins (Michaels); white paper doily; foam tape
