TCPTuesday 252-Fly Me to the Moon
With the start of the new year, we’re moving back to weekly TCP Tuesday challenges! All of the Cat Pack members will be taking turns hosting challenges and bringing you inspiration, too. Jessie is our hostess this week and she’s challenged us to try some paper piecing on our projects.
I used the Away We Go set with the current Deconstructed Sketch--flipped around just a bit-- to come up with this love themed design. My paper piecing is on the hot air balloon. I stamped the balloon on chevron patterned paper and added just a bit of shading to the piece with a warm gray Copic marker, then cut it out and adhered it to the image panel. The image is matted on gray cardstock, then adhered to a red heart patterned paper topped with a solid red cardstock strip.
The “fly me to the moon” sentiment is stamped on a shimmery white cloud made by cutting apart a single cloud from a strip of clouds cut with the CutUps Cloud Border die. It’s set at the top of the card, overlapping the balloon just a bit. I used my Bow Easy and a piece of red satin ribbon from my scrap pile to make a pretty bow for the bottom of the image panel.
Be sure to stop by Alma’s blog for all the details on this week's TCP Tuesday challenge and how you could win this week's Cat Cash prize and be our next Swanky Stamper. She'll also have some fabulous samples from the Cat Pack to provide you with some inspiration to get you started.
