My Sweetheart
Here's my card for this week's Muse challenge. I was inspired by the layout and the word "sweet" in the sentiment.
Instead of a line of cupcakes, I used a line of die cut hearts across my card. I die cut a white panel with the My Favorite Things Staggered Heart border die, then I used foam tape to adhere the die cut white pieces to the white card base. The open spots were filled in with red and pink die cut hearts, cut with the same border die. The raised panels frame the hearts nicely--my poor photo doesn't do it justice! The "my sweetheart" sentiment, created by combining bits and pieces of sentiments from two MFT Doodle Garden sets, was stamped above the hearts in red ink.
Materials Used:
Doodle Garden I'm Raptor Round Your Finger and Sweet Friend stamp sets, Electric Red and Bubblegum cardstock, Die-namics Staggered Heart Border die (My Favorite Things); Memento Luxe Love Letter ink (Tsukineko); white cardstock (Michaels); foam tape

This is a really clever take on this week's Muse - I love the use of the die cuts! Thanks for joining us!
ReplyDeleteThis is really very sweet. I like how the hearts are linked and each one filled in a bit differently.
