You Can Quote Me
This week’s blogger challenge theme is quotes. I don’t have many stamps with quotes in my collection, but I knew that most of the ones I had were from Verve. So, after looking through my collection of stamps, I settled on a teaching themed quote from the Teachers Count set.
I paired the quote with this week’s sketch from Freshly Made Sketches. The quote was stamped in white pigment ink on a gray panel and heat embossed for a chalkboard style look that works perfectly for a teacher-themed design. I matted it on a piece of pale gray paper, then adhered it to a panel of letter patterned paper over a green fishtail flag strip. The panel is accented with a green button tied with a little gray baker’s twine. Usually, my teacher themed cards tend to have a bolder, primary color scheme, so this softer, more pastel colored one was a nice change of pace.
Materials Used:
Teachers Count stamp set (Verve Stamps); Whip Cream ink, Factory Green and Steel Grey cardstock, Die-namics Fishtail Flag Stax die, Sour Apple button (My Favorite Things); Soft Stone cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Baby-Ring Around the Rosie designer paper (American Crafts); gray baker’s twine
