You Can Quote Me

This week’s blogger challenge theme is quotes. I don’t have many stamps with quotes in my collection, but I knew that most of the ones I had were from Verve. So, after looking through my collection of stamps, I settled on a teaching themed quote from the Teachers Count set.

They Will Never Forget the Way You Made Them Feel-designed by Lori Tecler-Inking Aloud-stamps from Verve Stamps
I paired the quote with this week’s sketch from Freshly Made Sketches. The quote was stamped in white pigment ink on a gray panel and heat embossed for a chalkboard style look that works perfectly for a teacher-themed design. I matted it on a piece of pale gray paper, then adhered it to a panel of letter patterned paper over a green fishtail flag strip. The panel is accented with a green button tied with a little gray baker’s twine. Usually, my teacher themed cards tend to have a bolder, primary color scheme, so this softer, more pastel colored one was a nice change of pace.

Materials Used:
Teachers Count stamp set (Verve Stamps); Whip Cream ink, Factory Green and Steel Grey cardstock, Die-namics Fishtail Flag Stax die, Sour Apple button (My Favorite Things); Soft Stone cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Baby-Ring Around the Rosie designer paper (American Crafts); gray baker’s twine

  1. What a great card Lori. Love the quote chalkboard style, and the background paper with those fun colors.

  2. Love this "teacher" card! The dsp goes so perfectly with the theme. Thanks for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches this week!

  3. This is such a perfect teacher quote. Because I remember exactly THAT kind of teacher with such fondness. Great background choice too. Glad to see you this week at FMS!

  4. Beautiful Lori! The quote looks wonderful with the chalkboard look!
