Love Is All You Need
Here's my card for this week's Paper Smooches SPARKS picture perfect challenge. I took my inspiration from the graphic pattern and gold accents of the large pink heart in the photo and used the current Deconstructed Sketch for my design.
I made the "love is all you need" sentiment from the Love Struck stamp set as my focal image. It's stamped in pink pigment ink on a white circle. I accented the circle with a shimmery gold heart, attached at the bottom of the panel with dimensional dots. An arrow, stamped with one of the arrow images from the Love Struck stamp set and die cut with the coordinating die from the Love Struck Icons dies, is tucked underneath the heart so it extends out on either side.
The finished sentiment panel is adhered over a gold paper strip set on top of a piece of multicolored patterned paper. Even though the inspiration photo featured a triangle pattern, I think this paper brings in a similar graphic element on my design. I added a pair of fishtail flag strips in two shades of pink to set the sentiment off from the pattern. The finished panel is adhered to a kraft card base.
Materials Used:
from i {heart} papers: Paper Smooches Love Struck stamp set and Love Struck Icons dies, Crafter's Companion ultrasmooth white cardstock, Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black ink and Memento Luxe Rose Bud ink, Basic Grey Fresh Cut 6x6 paper pad, Sticky Thumb dimensional dots
other: Melon Mambo and Pink Pirouette cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Kraft cardstock (WPlus9); gold paper (Target); heart die (Lil' Inker Designs); circle dies (Spellbinders); Fishtail Flag Stax and Fishtail Flag Layers Stax dies (My Favorite Things); marker (Copic)
