Who Loves You?
I put together this sweet card using new stamps from Paper Smooches and the current Mojo Monday sketch for this week's blogger challenge to use two or more patterned papers on your project. It also is for the current Paper Smooches anniversary challenge to make a fun and cute card. I think this one qualifies!
I colored one of the owl images from the new Hooties set with Copic markers and cut it out. It's set on a tag die cut from patterned paper along with a die cut "branch" made with a Paper Smooches tree die. Even though it's really meant to be a tree, with the size of the owl image, I think it works as a branch here!
I attached the tag to a piece of pale blue cardstock with a strip of cream twill across the middle. Once the tag was in place, I added a heart, die cut from red patterned paper, to the panel using a dimensional dot. The heart is accented with a red twine-tied button. The set's "who loves you?" sentiment is stamped in red pigment ink just beneath the tag.
Materials Used:
from i {heart} papers: Paper Smooches Hooties stamp set and Trees 1 dies, Crafter's Companion ultrasmooth white cardstock, Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black ink and Memento Luxe Love Letter ink, Simple Stories 24/Seven 6x6 paper pad, May Arts ivory twill, Hemptique natural twine, Sticky Thumb dimensional dots
other: Sea Glass cardstock (Avery Elle); Real Red cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Kraft cardstock (WPlus9); Tea Dye and Antique Linen distress inks (Ranger); markers (Copic); Traditional Tag Stax die (My Favorite Things); heart die (Lil' Inker Designs); red button, silver brad (Michaels); circle punch (EK Success)
