Welcome Little One

Here’s my card for the current Fusion challenge. I used the sketch along with the color scheme from the inspiration photo collage as the starting point for my design.

I made a sweet baby card using the Clear and Simple Stamps Tweet Notes stamp set. To bring in the photo’s shades of yellows and blues, I started off with a blue card base. It’s topped with a piece of yellow patterned paper with a curvy cut bottom edge and a round "window" opening at the top. I tied some of CSS’s twine around it before adhering it to the cardfront.

To fill in the round opening, I stamped the set’s branch and nest images on a round blue panel. I filled the nest with a pair of stamped eggs using teal ink. The panel is matted on a yellow circle, then added to the cardfront using foam tape. I die cut a pair of shimmery white clouds to add to the top of the panel.  The set's "welcome little one" sentiment fit nicely in the space just below the curved cut in the patterned paper.
