Never Let Anyone Dull Your Sparkle
Here's my card for this week's Muse challenge. I took my inspiration from Vicki's layout and from how she highlighted a single word in the sentiment.
Instead of a floral design, I went with a bold graphic one using stars. I made my own stamps by die cutting a piece of fun foam with the stitched star dies from Lil' Inker Designs. To stamp with the die cut foam pieces, I just used non-permanent adhesive to attach them to my clear block, then inked them up and stamped. The stitched detail shows up nicely when inked up. I used a super sparkly red ink with gold flecks--so pretty IRL! The sentiment was stamped over the stars in black pigment ink. I stamped the word "sparkle" on a scrap of white cardstock using Delicata Golden Glitz ink, then cut it out and adhered it over the stamped panel using foam tape for dimension.
I wrapped the top of the panel with sparkly gold ribbon, then adhered the panel to a white card base using more foam tape. I finished the design with a few gold sequins for even more sparkle.
Materials Used:
Shiny Happy Sentiments stamp set, Stitched Stars dies (Lil' Inker Designs); Delicata Golden Glitz, Brilliance Rocket Red Gold, and Memento Luxe Tuxedo Black inks (Tsukineko); white cardstock, gold wired ribbon, gold sequins (Michaels); fun foam; foam tape
