I made a birthday card using the colors and the current sketch from CAS(e) this Sketch. I adjusted the orientation of the sketch a bit, but the main tag shaped element extending from the edge of the panel is there!
My tag is die cut from Melon Mambo cardstock using Avery Elle's Simply Tags dies. I stamped the "this way to birthday fun" sentiment from the Aim High set on the tag in sparkly silver ink. After tying the tag with some matching twine, I attached it to the bottom of a green patterned paper panel. To go with the sentiment, I added an arrow at the bottom, cut with the coordinating Aim High dies. It's hard to see in the photo, but the arrow is two layers, a green one on top with a silver one slightly offset underneath for a shadow-like effect. I used dimensional dots to put it in place. A few silver sequins add a final sparkly, festive element to the card.
To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine. Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones used in your project. And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD292.
Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team, our May guestie, Annette Allen, and this week’s guest star stamper, Susie Moore. |
