Good Morning Sunshine

Sneaky Peek Week continues today at The Cat’s Pajamas with a look at two new sets—Nature’s Hello and Simple Blooms. TCP will be releasing 8 new stamp sets, 3 new CutUps dies, and 2 new Cutables files on June 17.  Each day, the Cat Pack and our special guests will be giving you a peek at one (or two!) of the new sets.

My card features the new Nature’s Hello set. It's based on this week’s Mojo Monday sketch. I used my Silhouette and the cut files that coordinate with the stamp set to cut out the image shape, then stamped the image and colored it with Copic markers. I’m loving the cut files that Alma has created for the new stamp sets—it’s much easier than fussy cutting detailed images!

I paired the image with a springlike green and yellow color combination to match the colors of the flower. After covering a green card base with a green patterned paper panel, I added a cheery golden yellow gingham strip on top. The gingham strip is accented with some kraft cardstock strips and a trio of copper brads. Once the panels were in place, I added the image on top, backed with a green circle. The set’s “good morning sunshine” sentiment was stamped in black ink on a golden yellow banner strip die cut with the banner die from the CutUps Framed Up 2 dies and added to the card, overlapping the left side of the image panel.
