Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 224-Play Ball

It’s time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge! I’m still having fun with the new release from The Cat’s Pajamas, so I inked up the Play Ball stamp set for this week's sketch.

I stamped the bat-swinging big eared bunny on a white panel cut using the set’s matching cut files. and colored him with Copic markers.  He was adhered to a pale blue panel over a strip of green cardstock die cut with the CutUps Grass die. The set’s “play ball” sentiment was stamped in the panel’s upper left corner in blue ink.

To go with the baseball image, I found some fun striped patterned paper in my stash. I adhered the striped paper to the bottom of a blue cardfront, then ran a strip of cream twill across it before adhering the image panel on top. I used the banner die from the CutUps Framed Up 2 die set to make the trio of banner strips that I tucked underneath the image panel. A little baseball, made from a circle punched from cream cardstock with hand-drawn stitching, was attached to the image panel to complete the design.
