Woohooo!

Here’s my card for this week’s Paper Smooches SPARKS Designer Drafts challenge. I used sketch along with the Hooties stamp set and matching dies to put this one together.

Woohooo! card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Paper Smooches
I made the long panel that runs across the card into a simple nighttime scene built on a blue patterned paper background. The set’s medium sized owl was stamped on white cardstock and colored with Copic markers, then die cut with the matching die. I used one of the dies from the Trees 1 set to make a branch for the own to perch on. To fill in the panel I added a round yellow moon and a few white sequin “stars.”

I adhered the finished scene to a light green panel over a piece of dotted green patterned paper. I edged the panel with a narrow strip of kraft cardstock before adding it to a green card base. The “woohooo!” sentiment from the Chubby Chums set was a perfect fit for space beneath the little scene. I stamped it in navy pigment ink for a nice bold contrast.
