You're Special

This week’s blogger challenge theme is flowers. I used this week’s sketch from Retro Sketches and some sweet flower dies from Paper Smooches to put together this cheery design.

You're Special card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Paper Smooches
I used two of the flower dies from the Pocket die set and some scraps of paper from a Doodlebug Design paper pad to make a trio of fun patterned flowers. The flowers are arranged at the top of a white panel and dotted at the center with white enamel dots. The dots add just a little bit of dimension and shine to the flowers.

I divided the flowers from the rest of the white panel with a strip of orange cardstock set just above the dot embossed section. The “you’re special” sentiment from the Sentiment Sampler set was stamped in orange pigment ink on a yellow fishtail flag strip. This is one of my very favorite PS sentiment sets—it’s so versatile! I adhered the finished panel to a yellow card base.

Materials Used:
from i {heart} papers: Paper Smooches Sentiment Sampler stamp set and Pocket dies; Avery Elle Fizz ink; Doodlebug Design Sugar Shoppe 6x6 paper pad and Sprinkles Lily White enamel dots; Lifestyle Crafts Spotted embossing folder

other: Barely Banana cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); Orange Fizz cardstock, Fishtail Flag Layers Stax die (My Favorite Things)
