Celebrate the Good Times

Here's my card for the current Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge.  I was inspired by the array of bright multicolored paper lanterns in the inspiration photo.

Celebrate the Good Times card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Mama ElephantI knew the new Radiant Neon inks from IMAGINE Crafts/Tsukineko would be perfect for the challenge.  To make my lanterns, I rubbed the inkpads directly on a piece of white cardstock to make bands of color, then I used a circle punch to punch out different sized circles from each color band.  I played around with different arrangements before settling on what you see here.  For interest, some are attached with foam tape while others are adhered directly to the white panel.

I used a Memento London Fog marker to draw "strings" from the tops of the lantern to the top of the panel.  For a final festive touch, I added a few tiny Sparkling Clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh around the lanterns.  The "celebrate good times" sentiment from the Mama Elephant Good Times stamp set was stamped to the bottom left of the lantern cluster in Memento Luxe Gray Flannel ink.  I stuck some foam tape on the back of the panel, then layered it on to a white card base.  I thought about using some bold colored cardstock, but in the end, went for the clean look of white on white.

Materials Used:
Good Times stamp set (Mama Elephant); Memento Luxe Gray Flannel ink, Memento Gray Flannel marker, Radiant Neon Electric Green, Electric Orange, Electric Yellow, and Electric Coral inks (IMAGINE Crafts/Tsukineko); Sparkling Clear sequins (Pretty Pink Posh); foam tape
