Confetti Thanks
Here's a super quick and easy to mail thank you card inspired by the current Tag You're It challenge. It doesn't have a tag on it, so it doesn't fit the challenge criteria, but I loved the look of the confetti background on one of the tags in the inspiration photo and used that as the starting point for my design.
I die cut the word thanks from a piece of blue cardstock using Lawn Fawn's Scripty Thanks die, then die cut the word again from a white panel. I set the blue die cut inside the open space in the white panel, carefully adding in the tiny pieces inside the h, k, and s.
Once the diecut was in place, I used stamps from four different Lawn Fawn sets to stamp random circles around the die cut word. You may be wondering what sets the circles came from. Well, the circles aren't actually circles, but the back sides of several different images. I used a tiny snowflake from the Winter in the Park set, a small sun from So Much to Say, an open dotted double circle from Summertime Charm, and a moon from Happy Haunting. The images weren't exact circles, but general round shapes. The slight irregularity adds a little interest to the dots. I put the stamps on my blocks so the backs faced up, then inked the solid shapes with different Radiant Neon inks from IMAGINE Crafts/Tsukineko. Stamping on top of a soft surface like a mouse pad helps with getting a nice, solid image when using this technique. The arrangement was inspired by the current sketch at the Clean and Simple Stamping blog. Once I was finished stamping, I added a trio of white sequins for a touch of sparkle.
Materials Used:
from i {heart} papers: Lawn Fawn So Much to Say, Winter in the Park, Happy Haunting, and Summertime Charm stamp sets and Scripty Thanks die; white sequins
other: Radiant Neon Electric Green, Electric Yellow, and Electric Orange inks (IMAGINE Crafts/Tsukineko); Hawaiian Shores cardstock (Papertrey Ink)
