Hello

Here's my card for this week's Paper Smooches SPARKS Picture Perfect challenge.  I was inspired by the mason jars in the photo and the soft, pastel color scheme.

Hello card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Paper Smooches
I started off by making the "fillings" for the jar.  I did a pale aqua watercolor wash puddle near the bottom of my white card base, then used one of the leafy stem images from the Daisies and Paisleys set and a green ink pad to make a pair of stems.  Each stem was topped with a pink flower, die cut with one of the dies from the Pockets die set.  For even more dimension, I adhered a large yellow enamel dot to the center of each flower.

I used the Crystal Clear stamp set and coordinating Crystal Clear 1 and Crystal Clear 2 dies to make a jar.  The opening inside the jar was covered with acetate for a glass-like look.  After wrapping some pink twine around the mouth, I set it over the bouquet and water using dimensional dots.  I stamped the "hello" sentiment from the Chit Chat set next to the flowers in gray ink, then scattered a few white sequins around the jar for a bit of sparkle.

Materials Used:
from i {heart} papers:  Paper Smooches Crystal Clear, Daisies and Paisleys, and Chit Chat stamp sets, Pocket, Crystal Clear 1 and Crystal Clear 2 dies; Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black ink and Memento Luxe Pear Tart and Gray Flannel inks; Doodlebug Design Springtime Sprinkles enamel dots; white sequins; Sticky Thumb dimensional dots

other: Soft Sky and Pink Pirouette cardstock (Stampin' Up!); pink twine (Divine Twine); acetate; watercolors
