Winter Wisteria Sympathy
Here's my card for this week's Muse challenge. I created a one layer design inspired by the images, colors and layout seen on Therese's card.
Instead of using a white background, I used a purple one. The leafy flourish from Papertrey Ink's Turning a New Leaf set was stamped in the upper left corner of the cardfront using green pigment ink. I used a pale purple pigment ink to stamp a pair of solid flower images on the leafy branch. At first, it looked like the ink would be too pale against the darker purple cardstock, but once the ink dried, it showed up nicely.
I dotted the center of each flower with a tiny dab of Liquid Pearls to give the design just a bit of dimension. The "with deepest sympathy" sentiment from the Asian Fusion set was stamped next to the branch in dark purple ink.
Materials Used:
Turning a New Leaf, Everyday Classics, and Asian Fusion stamp sets, Winter Wisteria cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Celery and Orchid inks (Avery Elle); Memento Grape Jelly ink (Tsukineko); Petal Pink Liquid Pearls (Ranger)

ReplyDeleteLori, this is just beautiful. It's soft and delicate, and a gorgeous sympathy card. Those flowers and branches are lovely. Love this card. Bev
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful sympathy card Lori, the pale colour for the flowers worked perfectly!
