With Love
Here’s my second take on the current sketch at Seize the Sketch. I used one of the new releases from The Cat’s Pajamas for this pretty floral design.
To get a watercolor-style look with the silhouette image from the new Simple Blooms set, I inked the stamp with several different distress markers, then spritzed the inked stamp with water before pressing it to the watercolor paper panel. I need to remember to watch where I’m spritzing, as Chloe the cutie puppy really does not appreciated being sprayed with water when she’s sleeping (oops!).
I matted the panel on a green oval, then adhered it to a green triangle patterned paper panel. I ran a strip of orange twill ribbon across the panel, over the bottom of the image panel. It’s covered with the “with love” sentiment from the TCP Words of Love set.
And, speaking of TCP, don't forget about the current TCP Summer Blog Hop. We're inviting customers to share their creations made with products from the June 2014 release. One lucky hopper will win a $50 gift certificate to the TCP store. Check out all the details and link up here.
Materials Used:
Simple Blooms and Words of Love stamp sets (The Cat’s Pajamas); Fizz ink (Avery Elle); Mowed Lawn, Spiced Marmalade, and Ripe Persimmon distress markers (Ranger); Limeade Ice cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Favorite Things 6x6 paper pad (Heidi Swapp); oval dies (Spellbinders); orange twill (Michaels)
