Scooting by to Say Hi

***Scroll down to the post below or click HERE to see my card for this week's Color Throwdown!***

I was honored when my super talented friend Tammy asked me to be a sample maker for her Dare to Get Dirty challenge on Splitcoaststampers today!  You can find all of the details on how to join in the fun at DTGD here on SCS.  This card's doing triple duty since it's also my entry for this week's Paper Smooches SPARKS Anything Goes challenge and the current Deconstructed Sketch, stretched out a bit to fit a standard A2 card.

Scooting by to Say Hi card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Paper Smooches
I used the Spiffy Scooters stamp set from Paper Smooches for my card.  The scooter was colored with Copic markers, then fussy cut.  The scooter is a pain to fussy cut--I really need to remember to order the matching dies!  I used dimensional dots to attach it to a dot embossed panel over a pair of criss-crossed cardstock strips.  The set's "scooting by to say hi" sentiment was stamped in white ink, then embossed on the gray handcut fishtail flag strip.

I adhered the blue panel to a piece of kraft cardstock.  The kraft panel was layered on a red cardstock panel along with a strip of multicolor striped patterned paper.  So fun!

Materials Used:
from i {heart} papersPaper Smooches Spiffy Scooters stamp set; Crafter's Companion ultrasmooth white cardstock; Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black ink and Memento Luxe Wedding Dress ink; Fancy Pants Be Different 6x6 paper pad; Sticky Thumb dimensional dots

other:  Poppy Parade cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Lake House cardstock (WPlus9); Steel Grey cardstock (My Favorite Things); Desert Storm cardstock (Neenah); markers (Copic); Spotted embossing folder (Lifestyle Crafts)
