This Way to Birthday Fun

Here's another card for the current sketch at Seize the Sketch.  I made another birthday card, this time using stamps from Avery Elle.

This Way to Birthday Fun card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Avery Elle
I started out with a pair of squares cut from a piece of rustic looking star patterned paper. After matting the panels on golden yellow cardstock, I adhered them to a kraft panel.

I used Avery Elle's Aim High dies to cut a rounded arrow from red cardstock.  The arrow was wrapped around and adhered to the patterned paper panel on the right side of the kraft panel.  I stamped the "this way to  birthday fun" sentiment from the coordinating Aim High stamp set beneath the patterned paper panel in red pigment ink. A few yellow sequins scattered around the cardfront add a little sparkle and tie in nicely with the star pattern.  The finished panel was layered on a cream card base.

In case you missed it, we announced last week that the Seize the Sketch challenge will be closing after this sketch. I've really enjoyed being part of the team and working with such talented designers!  I want to say a big "thank you" to Lesley for giving me the opportunity to be on the STS team.  It's been a lot of fun!
