Color Throwdown 314-A Note of Thanks

It's time for another Color Throwdown!  It's my turn to host the challenge and I've selected this yummy looking fall drink as our inspiration.

A Note of Thanks card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Reverse ConfettiMy card was definitely inspired by the photo!  I made a thank you card using the Class Act set from Reverse Confetti along with this month's Sketch for You to Try.  The apples were stamped in yellow ink, then die cut with the matching apple die.  I used an ink dauber to apply some pink ink to the edges of the die cut apples to get a two-toned look.

The apples are arranged over a piece of yellow gingham paper.  I adhered the gingham panel to a kraft card base on top of a red cardstock strip.  The red strip was accented with a "scalloped" strip made with the heart die in Reverse Confetti's Love Note die set.  I stamped the "a note of thanks" sentiment on the gingham paper in red ink, then arranged a trio of pale pink enamel dots around the cardfront.

To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine. Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your project. And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD315. Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team, our October guestie, Tara Godfrey, and this week’s guest star stamper, Lin Brandyberry.
