Color Throwdown 315-Thank You

It's time for another Color Throwdown!  Jodi is our hostess today and she's shared a pretty, earthy fall color palette.

For You card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Avery ElleI put together a clean and simple design using the colors and a new to me Avery Elle floral stamp set.  I used two of the images in the set to make the flowers, stamping the larger image first in yellow pigment ink, then adding the smaller image at the bottom in orange pigment ink.  After carefully cutting out the flowers (I am kicking myself for not ordering the matching dies . . .)  I used dimensional dots to adhere them to a cream panel over a stamped leafy branch.  The set's "for you" sentiment was stamped next to the flowers in kraft pigment ink.

I debated between adding enamel dots or sequins before finally settling on the trio of sequins you see here.  The finished panel was adhered to a mossy green card base.

To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine. Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your project. And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD315. Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team, our October guestie, Tara Godfrey, and this week’s guest star stamper, Bernadette Bliss.

  4. Super sweet, Lori! (You're like me... I was kicking myself last week for not ordering a set of dies to match a stamp set, too!)
