Color Throwdown 318-The Man

It’s time for another Color Throwdown! Vickie is our hostess this week and she’s chosen this great color palette--blue, light blue, and orange.  Given that it's "Movember," I used the colors along with a a mustache image on my masculine design.

You Are the Man card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Technique Tuesday
The image and sentiment come from the Technique Tuesday Mister Man set.  I stamped the mustache image on kraft cardstock and cut it out, then used dimensional dots to adhere it to a pair of layered circles.  The circles were adhered to a light blue cardstock panel set on a darker blue patterned paper panel.  An orange fishtail flag flag strip and an orange mat underneath the cardstock panel help to set the elements off.   I stamped the "you are the man" sentiment in the upper right corner of the light blue panel, then added a pair of copper brads as an accent in the opposite corner.

To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine. Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your project. And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD318.

Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team, our November guestie, Petra Swart, and this week’s guest star stamper, Doni High.
