You're a Star
Here's my card for this week's My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club sketch challenge. I flipped the sketch on its side to come up with this bold design.
I covered a dark pink card base with a piece of fun diagonal striped paper. The paper was topped with a lighter pink fishtail flag strip. I used one of the Pierced Fishtail Flag Stax dies to cut the white strip for the sentiment--I just trimmed off the flag end to get the rectangular shape. The "you're a star" sentiment from the Bold Sentiments set was stamped on the pierced rectangle in dark pink pigment ink. Once the sentiment was in place, I added a gold star, die cut with one of the dies from the Blueprints 18 set.
Materials Used:
Bold Statements stamp set, Die-namics Fishtail Flag Layers Stax, Pierced Fishtail Flag Stax, and Blueprints 18 dies (My Favorite Things); Memento Luxe Rose Bud ink (Tsukineko); Raspberry Fizz and Sweet Blush cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Splendid Summer 6x6 paper pad (Echo Park); gold paper; corner rounder; foam tape
