Wishing You Joy
Here's my take on this week's sketch from Retro Sketches. I created a holiday card in a rustic color scheme.
The ornaments are from the J*lly H*iday set from The Cat's Pajamas. I stamped them on a cream panel and colored them with Copic markers, then used a ruler and fine tipped pen to add the strings to the top. I stamped the "wishing you joy" sentiment on red cardstock and adhered it to the bottom of the panel, then added narrow strips of sparkly gold paper at the top and bottom, framing the panel.
The finished panel was adhered to a kraft card base over a strip of red plaid cardstock. I completed the design by wrapping a piece of linen thread around the cardfront and securing it with a simple bow just above the image panel.
Materials Used:
J*lly H*liday stamp set, linen thread (The Cat's Pajamas); Versafine Onyx Black ink (Tsukineko); markers (Copic); Desert Storm cardstock (Neenah); Riding Hood Red cardstock (Stampin' Up!); gold paper (Target); Handmade Holidays 6x6 paper pad (Simple Stories)
