Color Throwdown 326-Lovely Floral Thank You

It's time for another Color Throwdown!  Vickie is our hostess this week and she's chosen this bold color palette--blue, bright pink, light pink, and green.

Thank You card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Paper Smooches
I put together this floral design with lots of white space for the challenge.  The large flower from the Paper Smooches Lovely Thoughts set was stamped in white pigment ink on white vellum, then heat embossed. I filled in the open spaces with the set's solid image stamps using two different pink pigment inks.  The vellum flower is so pretty and delicate IRL!  After cutting the flower out, I used dimensional dots to adhere it to the white panel.  I stamped two leaves on green cardstock and heat embossed them, too.  After cutting them out, I tucked them underneath the raised flower.  The "thank you" sentiment was stamped next to it in teal ink.  I accented it with a pair of pink enamel dots.

I layered the finished panel on a teal card base.  Another white cardstock strip, edged with bright pink and pale pink strips was adhered to the card base beneath the image panel.

To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine. Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your project. And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD326. Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team, our January guestie, Bonnie Sharp, and this week’s guest star stamper, Kimberly Wiener.
